Your device has not up to date. You need iOS 5.
May you have remotely wiped your device and now it is happening.
Or, someone turn off your device.

You can try:
1) make confirm in iCloud location service is turned on. If it is on, then off it and re-enable it. Now try to locate on map. If you fail to locate, then try next one
2) Since you are able to see the battery charge in right corner, you can still play a sound in your device or send a display message.

In this matter what else can i do for it.. . because this is my 2nd Ipod lost.. before i didnt know that ipod can be locate if lost.. now i know i hope i can get back my ipod :’(..
